The Caster's Trial (S2021 Team 16)

Story:

In the Kingdom of Rolado, magic is forbidden. However, it is known for its extremely strong army of warriors. The warrior army managed to keep the country safe from battles and wars that had lasted for hundreds of years. In the country, any person that is found able to use magic will be arrested. Nobody knows where they end up. However, the king is actually secretly holding an army of magic casters as the last hand he can play as a surprise attack as the Kingdom of Rolado is known as a non-magic kingdom. Once a person is found a magic caster, he/she will be put into a dungeon alone as a trial.

If they are able to kill all the monsters in the dungeon, they will be invited into the secret army of magic casters to serve the kingdom. Of course, they won’t be able to see their family again in their lifetime. The king believes that the spell caster army will be a surprise attack for other countries. What he doesn’t know is that the uneducated spell casters in the army are not as strong as those of other countries. 

Our heroine, Cthugha Galanodel, was born to be a sorcerer. The magic is in her blood, inherited from one of the ancestors of the family. However, nobody knows that as none of her living family members is able to cast magic until the day that she turns 16. She accidentally casted a fireball spell on her birthday party and blew up the whole house. She was soon taken away by the royal army and put into the dungeon. When everybody believes that she is just going to disappear like any other spell casters in the kingdom, something different is going to occur. 

A wizard, named Tindalos Nightwind, cannot bear the situation that he won’t be able to meet his family. He also believes that the kingdom is going to a downfall because other countries can simply defeat the current army. He sneaked into the dungeon for trial and hid a key to open a secret exit of the dungeon in it. He also left a hint for the next spell caster that would be put in the dungeon. He is looking for a helper to overthrow the ruling of the current royal family.

Controls:

• W: move player forward
• S: move player backward
• A: move player to the left
• D: move player to the right
• Space: jump up
• Left click: melee attack
• F: daze enemies
• E: shoot fireball attack

Game Goal:

You have the choice to either kill all the monsters in the dungeon or find the key and find the secret exit to escape the dungeon.

Difficulty Levels:

• Easy: Player only needs to do one hit on enemies to kill and enemies only do one damage to player per hit.

• Medium: Player needs to do two hits on enemies to kill and enemies do two damage to player per hit.

• Hard: Player needs to do three hits on enemies to kill and enemies do three damage to player per hit.
